Arts at Noon Series: Ensemble Chaconne-The Music of Shakespeare's Plays
Date: November 11, 2009
Time: 12:00 p.m.
- 1:00 p.m.
Location: Cook-DeWitt Center, GVSU Allendale Campus
Ensemble Chaconne enthralls audiences with dramatic period-instrument performances of music from Renaissance and Baroque Europe.
Peter H. Bloom (Renaissance and Baroque flutes), Carol Lewis (viola da gamba), and Olav Chris Henriksen (lute, theorbo and early guitar) will present a program of late 16th and early 17th-century music that Shakespeare's audiences would have heard, including music by the great composers of the day, as well as popular tunes of the period.
Enjoy this free performance. For more information, please call (616) 331-3484, or visit www.gvsu.edu/music.
