The Baroque Legacy: Past and Present in Hispanic America and Central and Eastern Europe(October 24-26, 2013). Of special interest to you may be the talk by Professor Roberto González Echevarría, Sterling Professor of Hispanic and Comparative Literature at Yaleand recipient of the National Medal for the Humanities, awarded to him in March 2011 by President Obama. An award winning scholar, he has published widely on the literature and culture of both Spain and Latin America, and is also author of a book on baseball in Cuba, The Pride of Havana: A History of Cuban Baseball as well as Cuban Fiestas.
