Region 2 Services
 
As a Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDCTM), we provide services and support in the following core areas:

Counsel
We meet one-on-one with small business owners to assist in developing strategies to grow or change their company. Consultants include insightful established professionals who provide their knowledge and expertise regarding business development. Examples of assistance provided are as follows:

  • Developing growth strategies
  • Preparing a business plan for financing
  • Determining cash flow issues
  • Defining and quantifying marketing initiatives
  • Developing sales strategies
  • Developing export strategies
  • Selling to governments
  • Site selection
  • Creative financing

These services are provided at no cost for business owners.

Training
Workshops are offered throughout the year for new venture and young businesses. These workshops are designed to provide a basic understanding of all facets needed to operate a business.

Research
As part of the MI-SBTDC network and through Grand Valley State University, we can access essential data for developing a new company or for an existing firm to gain a competitive edge. Requests need to be made through an MI-SBTDC Region 2 Consultant.
