As a Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC"), we provide services and support in the following core areas:

Business Counseling

We meet one-on-one with existing, prospective, and small business owners to assist in developing strategies to grow or change their companies.  Our consultants include insightful established professionals who provide their knowledge and expertise regarding business development.  Examples of assistance provided are:

• Business planning and development
• Marketing strategies
• Obtaining financing
• Determining cash flow requirements
• Developing sales strategies
• Developing growth strategies
• Defining and quantifying marketing initiatives
• Operational improvement

These services are provided at no cost for business owners.

Training

Workshops are offered throughout the year for new ventures and existing businesses.  There workshops are designed to provide a basic understanding of many of the facets needed to operate a business.  Check our Calendar of Training for workshop descriptions, dates, and registration details.

Research

As part of the MI-SBTDC network we can access essential data for developing a new company and/or for an existing firm to gain a competitive edge.  Requests need to be made through an MI-SBTDC Region 12 consultant.
