Financing Options

These pages are intended to help you better understand the range of financing options for potential entrepreneurs and existing entrepreneurs.  No one method is recommended over any other - each has risks, costs and benefits. Weigh each option against your own situation. Grants are not mentioned because they are not usually a source of funds for starting a for-profit business.

A word to the wise: Research your idea thoroughly, develop realistic budgets for supplies, production and marketing and determine your actual financial needs - not just how much you can borrow.

Research will save you money - and heartache!
