To the Midwest Interprofessional Practice, Education, and Research Center (MIPERC) formerly known as, the West Michigan Interprofessional Education Initiative (WMIPEI). 

This inter-institutional organization was founded by Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners, and Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine to develop the regional infrastructure for interprofessional practice, education, and research.


To identify ways that partners can develop collaborative, innovative, and interprofessional initiatives across disciplines, learning institutions, and health care systems.

MIPERC is supported by a Steering Committee with member representation from our academic partners. The central office is located at Grand Valley State University within the Office of the Vice Provost for Health and is staffed by a Director of Interprofessional Initiatives and support personnel.
