Conditions of Competition
Entries are open to the first 120 amateur golfers age fifty and over with a USGA Handicap Index at the time of entry not exceeding 20.0 strokes. All entries must be mailed or dropped off in person to the golf shop at The Meadows GC, 4645 West Campus Drive, and Allendale MI 49401.
Senior Division: Applicants must be age fifty or above on June 9, 2012.
Super Senior: Applicants must be age sixty or above on June 9, 2012.
Saturday, June 9 – 9:00am tee time start. Groups will be paired in threesomes by flight and division.
Sunday, June 10 – 9:00am shotgun start. Players will be paired by first round scores in threesomes by flight and division. Lunch and awards to follow completion of round.
Practice Round – A practice round is not included in the entry. One round will be allowed at a reduced rate during certain times. All other practice rounds will be played at regular rates.
The West Michigan Senior Amateur Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the Championship Committee in any matter shall be final.
Will be awarded in the form of gift certificates.
ENTRIES: FORM, FEE, DEADLINE DATE
All entrants shall make application on West Michigan Senor Amateur forms. Copies are acceptable.
Entry fee of $75 shall be paid at the time of application by every applicant. No entries will be considered submitted unless accompanied by payments. Entry fee will be refunded for any reason if The Meadows Golf Club is notified (616 331-1004) before June 2, 2012. After June 3, entry fees will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness verified by a doctor’s statement. There will be a $10 service charge deducted from all refunds. No refund will be granted for any reason after June 8. Any player whose check is returned due to insufficient funds will have his entry denied and returned.
All entries should be mailed or dropped off in person to the golf shop at The Meadows Golf Club.
CADDIES, AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION
An entrant may provide his own caddie for any phase of the Championship. Automotive carts are required for this event.
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
The West Michigan Senor Amateur Committee reserves the right to decline any entry. Any person whose entry is accepted shall be subject to the rules and conditions of play set forth by the Committee. The Committee reserves the right to alter the conditions or shorten the competition due to weather or other conditions warranting such action. Any act of unsportsmanlike like conduct will be cause for removal from the tournament or suspension from playing in future events. No special provisions will be made for a player asking for special consideration due to other commitments. All committee decisions on such matters will be considered final.
