Dolli Lutes has been working with the GVSU McNair Scholars Program since 2002. She has master’s degrees in Social Work and Industrial and Organization Psychology from Western Michigan University. She received her undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University.  Before working at GVSU she worked with Aquinas College as the Associate Director of the Counseling and Career Services office. She taught career development classes, did career and personal counseling and ran the centralized internship program. Earlier in her career she worked in human services for over 12 years.

She is chair of the steering committee for the Earth Institute of West Michigan and a member of West Michigan Environmental Action Council.

Sandra Braden

Sandra Braden is the Graduate Assistant for the GVSU McNair Scholars Program. She is currently in the Master of Public Administration program at GVSU with her concentrations in Public Management and Urban/Regional Policy and Planning. She received her Undergraduate degree in International Relations from GVSU. She previously has worked for GVSU’s Disability Support Resources and the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence.

She is currently an officer for the International City/County Management Association and a member of the GVSU Graduate Student Association.
