Math in Action needs volunteers
Math in Action needs your help!
Students from all universities are welcome to volunteer. Complimentary registration and lunch included. Click below to volunteer:
Date: Math in Action is on Saturday February 24, 2024. Volunteer registration closes Wednesday, February 14th.
Location: GVSU's Allendale campus
Time: Volunteers will be asked to work for about 4 hours. There are two half-day shifts (morning: 7:30 am - 12:00 p.m.; and afternoon: 11:30 am - 4 p.m.).
Examples of tasks you may be asked to complete include:
- Help speakers bring materials into building or load up at the end of the day.
- Help at the Registration table.
- Help direct participants to rooms (rather than make them follow signs).
- Assist speakers in the Speaker Lounge
- Assist in presentation rooms (for example, help host Zoom meetings, assist speakers during their presentations, help with technology, etc.).
After your volunteer time is completed, you will be able to attend sessions as a regular participant. All volunteer registrations include access to the entire conference, plus a lunch pass which you may use before or after your volunteer time.
