In the current catalog, students may obtain a mathematics major with no emphasis. In some years, there were also an applied mathematics emphasis and a pregraduate emphasis. When necessary, these totals were combined.

3
The first time a statistics major was offered was in the 1993-94 academic year. Prior to 1993, there was a mathematics major with a statistics emphasis. Some students graduated with this major and emphasis after 1993. The numbers in this column represent the sum of the statistics majors and the mathematics major with a statistics emphasis.
