for Current and Prospective Students
The Department of Mathematics at GVSU offers Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, with emphases available in elementary and secondary education. Minors in mathematics are also available, including minors for elementary and secondary certification. A summary of the major and minor requirements can be found on the "Degrees and programs" page. Students interested in declaring a math major, or adding math as a second major are encouraged to speak with a mathematics faculty member. The "Major information" and "Advising information" links also provide a plethora of information about a math major.
Our department also offers a Master of Education with a concentration in Mathematics in cooperation with the School of Education. Please visit the College of Education page for more information.
