How do I know which class to register for?

Taking the math placement test  may be very helpful in determining which math class is right for you.  Visit  www.gvsu.edu/s/mv   for more details and information on when/how the placement tests are offered.

 

How do I know if my internet service at home is adequate?

Your internet speed is important as is updating any software, like JAVA or Adobe Reader.
 Visit GVSU's internet speed site:  https://myspeed.gvsu.edu/   to test your system.

 

What if I don't have a computer at home?

GVSU campuses, downtown and Allendale have many  computer labs with hours suitable for student accessibility.   Also, most public libraries have free internet computer services.  Check your local library for specific details. 

 

Do these on-line classes cover the same material as a traditional course?

Yes.  Faculty have taken great care to offer the same course content.  Content is absorbed in a different format by students ~ in class group work as well as  videos and on-line communication.

Tests and the Final Exam are given in class.
