Recent Student Accomplishments

Consistent with the University's value statements on "Effective teaching" and "Scholarship", our department considers student involvement in active scholarship an integral part of our mission. Students are engaged in research in mathematics and mathematics education through course projects, independent studies or funded projects at GVSU and also through summer programs, semester programs and conferences at other places. The list below includes journal publications, oral or poster presentations and the like by GVSU math majors, research programs students participated in, as well as awards received by GVSU math majors in the past few years. Mathematics Department students are indicated in bold letters in the list.
