The 2012 ASES Solar Tour:  Muskegon Edition

Self-guided tour from 10 to 2 p.m. starting at MAREC.

Come to MAREC and pick-up your packet at 10.

Join us for a self-guided tour to visit solar energy installations throughout the Muskegon and nearby Lakeshore community.   See how it all works on the ground, at residences and businesses.   Learn what new installations are online since the last MAREC Solar Tour!

This tour will be affiliated with the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) National Solar Tour, which offers the opportunity to tour innovative green homes and buildings to see how you can use solar energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable technologies to reduce monthly utility bills and help tackle climate change. More than 165,000 participants will visit some 5,500 buildings in 3,200 communities across the U.S. this fall.

Now in its 17th year, this event is coordinated nationally by ASES in collaboration with dozens of outstanding partner organizations. Most tours, including the one hosted by MAREC, will occur on Saturday, October 6, 2012.
