The Michigan Energy Fair will take place this year at the Mason County Fairgrounds in Ludington, MI. This event is held every year to allow those in the sustainable energy industry an opportunity to network with one another while also educating the public. The fair combines local food, fun activities, workshops, engaging speakers, and music thrown in for good measure.

Friday, June 7, will have workshops from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for professionals in the energy field and an evening reception. There is a $25 registration fee.

Saturday, June 8, will be a free day for the general public with exhibits opening at 9:00 a.m. and workshops and other activities going from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There will be a Saturday evening banquet.

Consumers Energy will also be sponsoring tours of their Lake Winds Energy Park, on Friday at 9:30 a.m. as well as 2:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. as well as 11:30 a.m. You can pre-register for a tour by sending an email with the day and time preference to johnsarver3@gmail.com. The van can hold up to 14 passengers and there is no charge for the tour.

Two-thirds of Michigan exports to ASEAN were comprised of transportation and machinery equipment and chemicals. ASEAN countries collectively form the fourth largest U.S. trading partner. Currently, Michigan's exports to ASEAN only comprise 1.2% of the U.S. total.
