MAREC Alternative Energy Photo Gallery

MAREC has a 1.8 kW Sky Stream wind turbine that was installed in 2007 for demonstration purposes.  

MAREC has a combined heat/power micro turbine that can supply up to 30 kW of dynamic power. It is comparable to a jet engine that can turn up to 9,000 rotations per minute.

MAREC showcases flexible solar panels to harness the solar power generated by the sun. The solar array generates 30 kW from 10,000 square feet of solar roof panels and its flexible format and ability to absorb energy in low light make this type of technology ideal for MAREC’s Muskegon Lake location.
