Welcome! As an alumnus/alumna or community member, you will be able to check out some items from the GVSU Libraries, and you may also use our computers and some online databases when in one of the library buildings.

In order to use our computer and database resources in our libraries, you will need to receive a guest login and password from the service desk. When library computers are in high demand by current GVSU student, faculty, or staff - for example, during finals week - alumni and public use may be suspended. Please call the library you plan to visit for the current accessibility of library computers.

Please note that in order to use our computer and database resources in any of the GVSU libraries, you will need to receive a guest login and password from the service desk. You will be asked to sign your name to the following agreement: 

  • I understand that access to the computers is limited to computers designated by staff.
  • I understand that GVSU students, faculty, and staff have priority for use of library computer resources.
  • I understand that as a guest, I may be asked, with or without explanation, to cease using a computer at any time.
  • I agree to abide by the GVSU IT Conditions of Use.
  • I agree to access only databases licensed for guest use.
  • I agree to adhere to acceptable standards of behaviors.
  • I agree to present government-issued photo identification.
