Resources for Students
We have also compiled resources specifically for graduate students!

Research Basics
Find Anything   Try Summon - it's kind of like your favorite search engine, only it searches library content. Find books, e-books, articles, and more!

Find Books
If you want more control, try search the library catalog directly. The catalog lists books, CDs, DVDs, government documents, and more. If you want to know more about how to search the catalog effectively, go here.

Find Articles
If you want more control over searching for articles, try searching our databases. We have over 200 databases, but Summon doesn't search them all. Many of the databases are specific to a particular subject or discipline - you might find it more useful to search one database instead of several! If you want to know more about how to search for articles effectively, go here.

Citing Sources

If you need information on citing sources correctly, and when you need to cite your sources, this guide might be useful to you.

Library Services
My Library Account   Renew books (from our libraries and from MeL) and check on your holds by logging into your account.

Loan Policies   How long you can have things checked out; how often you can renew them; etc.

Liaison Librarians   Each academic department has a liaison librarian assigned to them. This librarian can help you if you have questions about research in that area.

Master's Options    Help for your thesis and instructions on getting it published.

Computing Access FAQs
Helpful tips for connecting to library resources.
