How do I change/update my GVSU password?

Why can't I view ebrary resources?

You may be viewing the interface via a lab computer on the GVSU campus. If so, close all windows and look for the "Departmental Applications" folder on the desktop. Open the folder and locate the “Library” folder. Double-click on the ebrary icon. The reader will download to your desktop. You can then go back to ebrary and view the information.

How can I view MS Word, Excel or PowerPoint if I don't have the software?

How do I view pdf files?

Download free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I click on a pdf file and all I see is a blank page, what can I do?
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 5.x and newer: If you have trouble loading documents, exit from browser and launch Adobe Acrobat Reader. Choose Edit >> Preferences >> General in the "Options" section, then deselect "Display PDF in Browser." Click OK. Restart browser.
  • If your modem speed is slow, if the document is long, or if loading is very slow, right click on the link to a PDF document and save it to your hard drive, then open Adobe Acrobat Reader and open the document within the Reader.
When I try to print my pdf file, I get an error message from the printer, what can I do?

After selecting the print option in the PDF file. Double check to make sure that the option "Choose Paper Size from PDF File" is unchecked. This will set the print job to the default page size of 8 x 11. The reason for the error is that the PDF's page size is not actually the standard page size.

May I use a laptop within the library?
