GVSU owns a wide variety of thematic maps on numerous topics ranging from geology to demography.  These maps are classified using both the LC and SuDoc classification schemes, depending on whether they were acquired through the FDLP or purchased by the library, and can be found using University Libraries online catalog.

GVSU has a good number of digital maps and GIS data on CD-ROM.  Most of these are from the USGS or Census bureau, but the library also has CD-ROMs from the EPA, CIA and Transportation Departments.  The vast majority of these disks are located in the Zumberge Gov Docs section in Allendale.  You will want to check University Libraries online catalog to determine what the call number for the disk is and where it is located. 

These disks can be checked out and loaded onto a personal computer or you may load the disk onto one of the Government Documents PC's located in the Zumberge and Steelcase libraries.  Please be aware that the library does not offer color printing.
