    • Published by the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.  --annotation from GPO Access

    • To search the Federal Register after entering the database:
      1. Under the Search tab, click on Legal
      2. From the options on the left side of the screen, select Federal & State Codes
      3. Go to the drop-down box next to Sources and select FR - Federal Register.
      4. You can now enter in the terms you wish to search for.
    • Federal Register (1980-Present)
      • From Westlaw Campus - Please note that because this is a subscription database, it is available only to GVSU students, faculty and staff, and it may only be used on-campus.
      • To search the Federal Register after entering the database:
        1. Select the Law tab
        2. On the right side of the screen, scroll down to Statutes and Regulations, and check Federal Register.
        3. You can now enter in the terms you wish to search for.
    • List of CFR Sections Affected (1986-Present)
      • "The List of CFR Sections Affected (LSA) lists proposed, new, and amended Federal regulations that have been published in the Federal Register since the most recent revision date of a Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) title."
    • Unified Agenda (1994-Present)
      • "The Unified Agenda (also known as the Semiannual Regulatory Agenda), published twice a year (usually in April and October) in the Federal Register (FR), summarizes the rules and proposed rules that each Federal agency expects to issue during the next six months."

    • Code of Federal Regulations
      • The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis. --annotation from GPO Access

      • Search the current CFR, as well as multiple years of the Federal Register (1994-Present) and Unified Agenda (1994-Present).

      • "On this site, you can find, review, and submit comments on Federal documents that are open for comment and published in the Federal Register, the Government's legal newspaper.  As a member of the public, you can submit comments about these regulations, and have the Government take your views into account."
