Library Instruction

Whether in class or online, Liaison Librarians teach over 10,000 students each year across the curriculum.  We target courses with a research component and foundational courses in the major/minor.  Our First Year Program supports students at key transitions point in their academic career.

Liaison librarians partner with teaching faculty to support student learning by:

  • Visiting your class to guide students in finding and using library resources
  • Creating online course guides with a discipline-specific set of resources
  • Embedding resources into your BlackBoard site
  • Creating video tutorials
  • Participating in online class discussions
  • Collaborating on assignment creation

Contact your liaison librarian early in the term to discuss what type of support would work best for you and your students.

Library Learn Labs are also available for library workshops at the Mary Idema Pew Library and Steelcase Library <link: learn labs>.  To reserve a lab space, contact your library liaison early in the term.
