OnGoing LGBT Conference: LGBT & Race Our event is in response to The Advocate magazine cover (November 2008) which read, "Gay is the New Black: The Last Great Civil Rights Struggle." The following month's magazine featured a Letter to the Editor from our speaker, Billy Curtis, and addressed the complexity of these issues. Is Gay the New Black?
