Out 'n' About
A support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students and their supporters. Resource for GVSU students and community. Call the Student Life Office at 616-331-2345 for meeting times and locations.
Allies and Advocates
Comprised of GVSU faculty and staff who offer support and resources in a safe environment for the members of the University community concerned with issues of sexual orientation. When you see the Allies and Advocates logo displayed, you can be assured you will be treated with respect and dignity.
Counseling and Career Development Center
Provides students counseling on personal issues in a confidential and safe setting. Also offers seminars and on-going support groups. Located in 204 Student Services Building. 616-331-3266
Dean of Students Office
The staff of the Dean of Students Office, located at 202 Student Services Building, serve as a resource to students concerned about gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender issues. 616-331-3585
GLBT ScholarshipA scholarship has been established and will be awarded to a GLBT or ally student based in part on the student's support of GLBT students and concerns. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.

West Shore Aware Scholarship
This scholarship was created be West Shore Aware, a philanthropic organization if gay men and women striving to create a positive image by working for the communities in which they live. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financila assistance to students who demonstrate a positive sensitivity to an and involvement in issues relative to the gay community and who promote visibility by service to the larger community.
