The Career Center supports adult learners at GVSU by helping them connect to each other and GVSU staff. Adult learner specific events provide ways for adults on campus to find one and other as well as access information about their programs, careers, and more.

When I explain what I'm doing to others and see their reaction, it gives me a sense of pride in what I've accomplished thus far.
It's about pursing your dreams and making them into reality. It's your life and the time will pass one way or another so do something that you know will make you a better version of yourself.
I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a kid. It was time to follow my dream.
I think there are some positives to being an adult learner -- compared to my first undergraduate experience, I have found that I now have much better intrinsic self-motivation, time management, and coping skills when the workload feels overwhelming.
