Web 2.0 applications allows for differentiation in the classroom, by allows students to share their knowledge in a variety of ways. This course will cover a variety of Web 2.0 applications, that also have counterparts on hand-held devices. The applications covered will allow students to write, create video, speak, and collaborate with others while demonstration their knowledge. Web 2.0 applications will include: Go Animate, Glogster, Padlet (Wallwisher), Animoto, MakeBeliefs, Voicethread, Socrative, and Comix and others.
The ability to record from your computer, having a microphone, will greatly enhance your use of the applications, knowing that all classrooms do not have microphones available one is not required. You will create an example using each of the applications, and for the conclusion of the course, design a lesson plan that incorporates the use of one of the applications integrated into instruction.

This course will give an in depth study of the complex minds of individuals with Aspergers syndrome.  It will include the diagnosis, intervention techniques, social difficulties, academic challenges and benefits of having the diagnosis of Aspergers.  We will address classroom accommodations and strategies to help connect with children in your classroom with this diagnosis.  We will also look at the challenges that families face in having children with Aspergers.
