Mean Girls and Real Boys: Exploring Bullying Through the Lens of Gender

Training Summary: This session will explore bullying through the lens of gender and other differences.  The presenters will examine ways in which the overall culture cultivated and reinforces "girlfighting" and other gender-based bullying behaviors, and we'll explore ways youth and adults can work together to respond to the issue of bullying among and between girls and boys.  Participants will leave with knowledge about resources available for exploring these topics with young people and other adults.

Cost: $15.00 (includes training materials, refreshments, and 6.5 approved SW continuing education clock hours)

CECHs: This program has been approved by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative for 1.5 continuing education clock hours. Program approval #092509-08.
