Clinical and Vocational Issues with LGBT Population

Date: November 6, 2009
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Allendale, MI

Training Summary: Our campus is home to a diverse, vibrant and engaged community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and allied students, staff, and faculty.  Many LGBT and allied people have found the campus and surrounding community an ideal place to learn, work, and live.  However, as a result of a recent campus climate study conducted on campus, many faculty, staff and students found the environment quite unaccepting.  As a result, the university has instituted new objectives to change the environment.  The training of campus and community professionals by a national expert, such as Dr. Ruth Fassenger, will assist us all in achieving that goal.

Cost: $90.00 ($50 for currently enrolled students) + an additional $15.00 for SW CECH's.  (includes training materials, lunch, and 6.0 approved SW continuing education clock hours)

CECHs: This program has been approved by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative for 6.0 continuing education clock hours. Program approval #
