WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO ATTEND GRAND VALLEY?
I started looking for other schools while I was attending Muskegon Community College and the Grand Valley/MCC partnership made it a great fit for me.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT GRAND VALLEY?
The Allendale campus is very convenient and I'm able to take night classes that fit into my schedule. I work days as a counselor at the Muskegon Correctional Facility.
HOW WILL GRAND VALLEY MEET YOUR FUTURE GOALS?
I hope to get my master's and then hopefully teach some day. My professors have been very encouraging.
HOW HAS GRAND VALLEYS FACULTY MADE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE?
They're knowledgeable and I like the way they teach class. They're easy to communicate with. They enjoy their job and make me feel like I'm going in the right direction.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS?
Know what direction you want to go in instead of just going aimlessly. It'll save you from taking a lot of extra classes.
