At Grand Valley State University's Meijer Campus in Holland, we embrace sustainability.
The Brundtland Report defines sustainability as "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Moving closer to this goal requires recognizing the interconnectedness of environmental, economic and social equity factors.
Creating a more sustainable planet and global society is something that cannot occur in isolation; it requires the commitment of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses, organizations, and governments.
