Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Case Study Competition

GVSU's Circle of the National Leadership Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), is pleased to host the 10th annual Leadership Case Study Competition at Leadership Summit 2017

What is the ODK Leadership Case Study Competition? The ODK Leadership Case Study Competition is an annual event that takes place at Leadership Summit. The purpose is to provide an advanced educational experience for student leaders attending Leadership Summit. Up to eight teams of two students will review a scenario related to student leadership and fifteen minutes to present their strategies to a team of judges. Students will also be given materials to help them work through the case study. The judges also have an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation.

Worried that you can not attend the breakout sessions? Don't fret! There are four breakout sessions throughout the day and the Case Study Competition will only interrupt one of them.

Why should I participate? Participation in the ODK Leadership Case Study Competition is open to anyone attending Leadership Summit. Those that participate gain an opportunity to strengthen skills in situational analysis, critical thinking, presenting, and team work. Of course, the competition is also a fun way to engage in Leadership Summit and be recognized during the awards ceremony as well.

How do I sign up? Students who are interested in participating should indicate so on their Leadership Summit Registration form on our website. Single participants will be paired into teams of two and will be notified of their partner via email. Participating schools may enter no more than six students in the competition. All participants must be registered for Leadership Summit to participate. Recognition for the teams will be given during the closing remarks of Leadership Summit. All participants will receive a certificate and the winning team will receive a leadership book selected by GVSU's Omicron Delta Kappa members.
