The First Year Leadership Experience (FYLE) is designed to assist new leaders in creating and enhancing their personal philosophy of leadership while developing basic leadership skills and learning about all of the leadership opportunities that the GVSU community has to offer. All first year and transfer students are encouraged to be a part of this program, especially those who are interested in future leadership roles. FYLE teaches leadership through interactive activities and discussion led by past FYLE graduates and student leaders. Completion of FYLE will make you a strong candidate for future leadership positions, as well as prepare you to take your next steps as a leader on campus.
The First Year Leadership Experience (FYLE) program consists of six sessions, held once a week on Monday, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM in the Kirkhof Center. Attendance at all sessions is required to be considered a FYLE graduate.
