Latin American Studies
Why I'm happy to be an LAS minor!
Studying Latin American Studies has offered me a broad global perspective on both historic and current events in Latin America. The minor really compliments the study of Spanish language, and both provided me with vital skills I found helpful for my study abroad experience in Argentina. Even more than my International Relations major, GVSU's Latin American Studies minor has provided me with phenomenal opportunities to learn and grow both as a person and an emerging professional.
