Admission Process

Student working with Counselor

The RN/BSN program requires a two-step application process. You must first complete the GVSU application on-line or send the paper application to the Admissions Office.  Applicants are required to have all official transcripts from other institutions sent to GVSU at this time. The Admissions Office requires that you apply at least one month prior to the start of classes. This allows time for your transcripts to be evaluated and for you to attend transfer orientation.  The second step is applying specifically to the RN to BSN program at the Kirkhof College of Nursing (KCON).

Once you have been admitted to GVSU, you are ready to submit your application to (KCON). You will apply on line at www.gvsu.edu/kcon. It is encouraged that you apply during your first semester at GVSU. We accept applications every semester on or before September 15, January 15, and May 15.

Admission to the program requires a minimum grade of “C” in each pre-requisite course and a minimum GPA of 3.0 overall.  Academic performance in your last 15 credits may be considered. Please call our RN/BSN advisor if you have questions regarding how your GPA is calculated.
