2006 Michigan Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Survey

Dear Nonprofit Director:

Thank you for participating in the 2006 Michigan Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Survey. This survey will show how your compensation compares to other nonprofit executives in Michigan, the benefit packages across the sector in this state, and what it takes to be competitive in staff recruitment.

By completing the survey, your information will be incorporated into this important study. We will not release your individual data. In exchange for your completion of the questionnaire you will receive a free electronic comprehensive report on trends in Michigan and your area. For those unable to participate, or with no paid staff, the report will cost $45.

Survey Instructions. Please Read Carefully

  1. Complete the online survey by January 20, 2006 (survey deadline extended). It should take approximately one hour. You may stop and resume at a later time if necessary.
  2. Report all requested information based on your 2005 fiscal budget (applies to any fiscal year that begins during the calendar year of 2005, including fiscal years starting January 1, July 1, or October 1, 2005.)
  3. Report all full time wages as annual base salaries, and all part time wages as hourly rates. Do not include overtime, shift premium, or deferred compensation.
  4. For positions with multiple responsibilities, enter data where majority of responsibilities take place.
  5. Refer to the Job Descriptions, Categories and Definitions as a guide throughout the survey. It is recommended that you download and print the guide for easy reference.

REMINDER - This survey is for organizations with paid staff and only those organizations participating in the survey and submitting an e-mail address will receive a FREE downloadable copy of the final report in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
