Community Research Institute
The Community Research Institute gathers, analyzes, interprets, and shares national and local data through partnerships with nonprofit and neighborhood groups in an effort to assist local and regional nonprofit leaders with decision making, grantwriting, and program evaluation. CRIdata.org is an online resource with census, community, and demographic data available to nonprofit organizations in West Michigan.

Johnson Center Philanthropy Archives and Library
The archives and special collections provide researchers with a scholarly resource of materials related to philanthropy and philanthropists in Michigan. It is anticipated that research of these materials will enhance an understanding of philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. The collections are available to visiting scholars, GVSU faculty, students, and the general public.
