T.J. Maciak is senior programmer and administrator of free and open source based technologies for the Johnson Center for Philanthropy's Community Research Institute (CRI) at Grand Valley State University. His area of specialty is Geographic Information Systems and he works on a variety of data projects as broad as the national census down to the local community level.
He obtained a master's degree in 2011 and a bachelor's degree in 1999 in computer information systems from GVSU. He has been working professionally in the Information Technology field since 2000 and has worked for CRI since 2006.
