Bio

Ryan Ames joins the Community Research Institute after working as an economic development consultant at Choose DuPage -- a public-private partnership overseeing the economic development in DuPage County, Ill. Previously he served as a technical assistance provider for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning where he specialized in comprehensive land use planning, regional economic development analysis, and brownfield remediation. He has a strong background in social research, serving as a research assistant for CRI while completing his B.S. in Sociology from Grand Valley State University. He also holds a Masters of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a concentration in Community Development.
