Technical Assistance

Organizations that participate in the Encore Coming of Age ® Learning Lab receive benefits far beyond the actual days of course work.  We have created packages of technical assistance for all Encore Learning Lab alumni organizations to receive.

Technical Assistance

Post Your Volunteer Opportunities
 
Organizations based in Kent County that attend the Coming of Age ® Learning Lab are eligible to access Technical Assistance in the following forms:
  1. You may attend Engaging and Retaining the New Volunteer, a four-hour workshop presented at the Johnson Center that highlights key concepts from the Learning Lab. You may send staff for free*, or it can be scheduled as in-house training for your staff.
  2. You may enjoy Encore Learning Community membership privileges which periodically include discounts on other Johnson Center workshops and events*.
  3. Additional support from the Heart of West Michigan United Way Volunteer Center for posting and highlighting your opportunities online.
  4. You may apply for project based technical assistance.

*Once your application is approved, a technical assistance coach will assist you in developing the plan for project implementation.
