Community Research Institute Research Director
The full-time Research Director of the Community Research Institute (CRI) oversees the entire portfolio of research work. This position requires strong leadership and knowledge of community research and evaluation design. This position reports to the Executive Director of the Johnson Center and is a member of the Johnson Center Leadersip Team.
The Research Director of CRI is reponsible for establishing an annual research agenda with partnership organizations and JCP; implementing this agenda on a rolling basis as new projects emerge; hiring, supervising, and managing staff of CRI; raising revenue through contracts for service; working closely with outside funders and organizations regarding their applied reseach needs and the development of technology tools to assist them in their work; and negotiating data sharing and other contractual agreements for JCP with partners interested in advancing the work of CRI. The CRI Research Director represents JCP in the research community nationally, in Michigan, in West Michigan, and within the University, requiring advanced interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
