About Nonprofit and Philanthropy Good Practice
Nonprofit and Philanthropy Good Practice or NPGoodpractice.org was created in 2002 with the goal of capturing, organizing, disseminating, and promoting the use of knowledge in the nonprofit sector. In 2007, the site was redesigned with additional interactive features making it more intuitive and of even greater benefit. Since its inception, NPGoodpractice.org has become an invaluable resource to users in all 50 states and over 140 countries.
The site is a project of the Nonprofit Services at the Johnson Center. The Johnson Center, a component of Grand Valley State University, began in 1992 as a multidisciplinary university-wide center, developed with the support of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. With a strong focus on community service and the use of data in the decision-making process, we are dedicated to the study and teaching of philanthropy, volunteerism, and nonprofit management.
