We are pleased to announce Chris Martin, principal trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, will be a special guest performer on Barbara Butler's recital on Saturday, June 15. Mr. Martin will premiere a new work by James Stephenson for trumpet and strings in memory of Mr. Herseth, commissioned by Richard and Valerie Stoelzel and Grand Valley State University.
The final concert featuring trumpet "All Stars" with trumpet great Arturo Sandoval will also be dedicated to Mr. Herseth. The concert will open with testimonials to Mr. Herseth by former colleagues and friends.
