VoiceMail - Reset PIN Instructions

Change PIN for a Siemens/Rolm phone (beige in color) via a telephone

  1. On campus - Dial 18888 or press the PHML button
  2. Off campus - Dial 616-331-8888
  3. Enter your PIN & press #
  4. Say “Personal Options”
  5. Press 3
  6. Type in the new PIN number & Press #
  7. Retype the PIN number to verify it.
  8. Press # to save it

Change PIN for a Cisco phone (black in color) via a telephone

  1. On campus - Dial 19999
  2. Off campus - Dial 616-331-9999
  3. Enter your PIN & press #
  4. Say “Personal Options”
  5. Press 3
  6. Type in the new PIN number & Press #
  7. Retype the PIN number to verify it.
  8. Press # to save it

 Reset PIN from Outlook Web Client:

  • Go to http://mail.exchange.gvsu.edu log in with your network user name and password.
  • Click on “Options” in the upper right hand corner.
  • Select “See All Options” then select “Get readable voice mail in your Inbox” from here you may reset your PIN & other VM box options.
  • Scroll down until you see Reset PIN Click on Reset my voice mail PIN.
  • Click OK and Click on Save located at the bottom right hand corner of this page.
  • Sign Out, located towards the top right. Exchange will send you a new PIN to your Outlook inbox.
  • Log in to Voicemail  from on campus or off campus to finalize the PIN reset process
    • On Campus - Siemens Rolm phone, dial 18888 and enter PIN sent to your email
    • Off Campus - Siemens Rolm phone, dial 616-331-8888 and enter PIN sent to your email
  • When you access your VM box the system will tell you your PIN is expired; it will then force you change your PIN number. Listen to and follow the prompts to change your PIN number.
