Grand Valley State University is home to almost 400 F-1 and J-1 international students. Our office advocates for international students on campus and serves as a primary resource for legal, cultural, and social matters for international students. We work closely with many offices across campus, as well as organizations in our community to help international students feel at home and connected with community.

All F-1 and J-1 students that were in the United States at anytime between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016 must file taxes.  The Deadline for filing is April 15, 2017.

Also- please note- there are many "scams" about taxes, tax collecting, etc.  The IRS will NEVER contact you by telephone.  Details here
