International House

Welcome to International House

The mission of the International House (IH) program is to provide advising and support to students interested in international relations, international business, modern languages and political science, as well as to promote communication and interaction with international students. GVSU's IH program is an academic learning and living community designed for 30-50 students, first-year through senior year.

This is a great way to learn more about opportunities available to you after completing your degree at GVSU, not to mention how to make the most of your time at GVSU. We provide a range of social, cultural and academic events to provide a supportive learning environment for all students. Research shows that students who are engaged in their university community are more likely to persist and complete their college degree. IH is a great launching pad for your academic success.  Faculty advisors will hold office hours on site to be available to answer your advising questions.

We are located in the the Mark Murray Living Center on the south end of campus, next to Honors and the new south campus dining area. Murray Living Center is a very recently constructed building that includes classrooms, and other common spaces for socializing, studying, or holding meetings.
