Find out about these local organizations! They may provide excellent opportunities for you to network with local business leaders involved in international business!

The Van Andel Global Trade Center is located in the GVSU DeVos Center. Its goal is to help West Michigan businesses expand sales into international markets. The VAGTC conducts trade seminars and certificate programs, hosts international speakers, and provides technical assistance to companies looking to do business internationally.

The West Michigan World Trade Association is a group of area businesspeople who are involved in the international aspect of their companies' business. The WMWTA hosts a monthly dinner and meeting featuring a guest speaker who is a specialist in international trade.

The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan is dedicated to educating people in western Michigan about other countries, cultures and regions of the world, as well as providing a forum for discussion of critical foreign policy issues facing this country. Student memberships are available.

West Michigan World Trade Week is a special annual event designed to promote international trade from West Michigan companies. It is co-sponsored by the US Department of Commerce, Grand Valley State University, and other local organizations involved in international business and education.
