IB Major Requirements - Language Minor

As an international business major, you are required to pursue a language minor. GVSU offers the following language minors:

• Spanish
• French
• German
• Russian
• Chinese
• Arabic (starting fall 2012)

You may also pursue one of the following languages, even though GVSU does not officially offer a minor. This requires that you meet with Alexandra Schmid (447C DeVos, schmiale@gvsu.edu) for personalized advising:

• Italian
• Japanese

If you plan on demonstrating proficiency in a foreign language, please download the following handout, which explains the requirements in detail. It is strongly recommended to take the proficiency test at the beginning of your college career.
