Step-By-Step Application Instructions for Academic Conference Fund Travel Grants

1. Apply for funding
Submit a typed ACF Application, with a faculty recommendation letter, résumé, proof of acceptance to present at the conference, and your presentation abstract to 181 Lake Ontario Hall.

2. Notification of Award
Applicants will be notified by email within 10 business days of the status of their grant application.  Successful applicants will need to sign his or her award letter in 181 Lake Ontario Hall to accept the award.

3. Choose a funding method
See ACF FAQ's to determine the best fit.

For the reimbursement option, all receipts must be submitted within 10 business days upon return. See Travel and Expense Guidelines for acceptable reimbursements.

Applicants that choose the Stored Value Debit Card Option will be contacted when the debit card is delivered to Integrative Learning. The card must be signed for in person. All original receipts must be submitted within 10 business days upon return. Please see the ACF FAQ's to determine what charges are acceptable.

4. After the Conference
Within 10 business days of the return, the following items must be submitted to Integrative Learning in 181 Lake Ontario Hall (ALL FORMS AND REPORTS MUST BE TYPED):

ACF Report and Reflection Form and Essays.

For the reimbursement option, follow the Travel Form Instructions to submit receipts with a Travel and Expense Form.  Use the FIRST "Excel file to fill out and print" listed on the page.  Use this T&E EXAMPLE for more instructions on how to complete the form.

For the Stored Value Debit Card Option, submit original receipts with the SVDC Reconciliation Form and a statement from the National City website. *Please note: if you do not submit original receipts, or make an unauthorized purchase, your student account will be charged.
