Campus Conversation Series

The Campus Conversation Series began in the Fall of 2007 and has been a collaborative effort between 18 offices and programs.  It is the goal of the Campus Conversation Series "to demonstrate the importance of intersectionality between the disciplines by exploring these questions, wading into the difficult dialogues, and moving through our discussions into scholarship and action," said Susan Mendoza-Jones, Director of the Integrative Learning program.

The first Campus Conversation was held during the 2007-2008 Academic Year, with a focus on Poverty and Economic Justice.  Programs for the Winter 2008 semester included campus lectures by: Betty Nguyen, CNN; Jeannette Walls, author of "The Glass Castle"; a series of presentations by Felice Yeskel, author of "Apartheid in America"; and the Williams Interdisciplinary Colloquium on the Community Reading.
