Celebration held for first-generation students

About 100 first-generation students, along with 65 faculty and staff members, attended the First Annual First Generation College Celebration November 8 in the Kirkhof Center.
First-generation students were honored for their achievements at Grand Valley. The breakfast event was sponsored by the Student Academic Success Center, Division of Inclusion and Equity, Enrollment Development, Dean of Students Office, TRiO SSS, TRiO STEM and TRiO TPSS.
